Hair Care Routine

Hello!
As i write this I'm sitting on my bed just feeling and smelling my hair. I have found the solution to keep my curly hair tamed, smelling amazing and feeling incredibly soft. For all you curly haired girls you probably will relate to this, that you NEVER know what your hair is going to be like after you wash it. It could suddenly decide to be perfect or just turn into a massive fluff ball. Recently the ends of my hair have been very dry and very wiry, although i know it needs a cut i am trying to avoid that as much as i can because i love my long hair.

I recently did a shop in Lush and i noticed their range of hair care products, i have never thought about coming to lush to find something for my hair. I was talking to the women that worked in their and she knew exactly what she was talking about and lead me to these two products that i will talk about in just a bit. I use three different products when doing the full routine, this routine is something i will fully do every three weeks because its what my hair needs.

This was my hair before i put anything in it, and as you can see its very wiry and dry and just felt horrible. You will probably agree its needs a lot of attention.

So the first product i use...

So this is H'suan wen hua (no idea how to pronounce) this is a hair mask. I will be totally honest it doesn't have the nicest smell to it because of all the natural ingredients that are in there to repair my hair. Its not an unbearable smell it just hasn't got the regular fragrance that lush is known for. This pot is 225g and i can only get two uses out of it because of how much hair i have and that the pot isn't that big. It was £9.75 and worth every penny, you have to brush through your hair to get all the knots out and as soon as i put it on my hair i can already feel something different. It instantly makes my hair feel soft which is a total reassurance. Their main ingredient is olive oil because thats what helps bring back the strength of the hair and give it a shine. It gets to every hair on your head as it spreads well and conditions well also. I left this on for 20 minutes to then get in the shower and wash it off. I usually tie it up in a bun just to lock in the moisture and to get it off my face as well.

My next product is my Shampoo and Conditioner

I have been using this Shampoo and Conditioner for a long time and i don't think i will be going back for a while. The smell is incredible and the macadamia oil leaves my hair feeling soft and really helps soothe the ends of my hair. As the hair mask doesn't really leave a scent on my hair this brings it back to life and gives it a really beautiful smell. This brand OGX do all different type of oil shampoo and conditioner that are perfect for different types of hair. They can be quite pricey because i know a lot of people don't like to spend a lot of money on their shampoo and conditioner but these two come at around £6.99 each.

Last but not least here is the third product i use...

This is R&B by lush as well. This is an after care product which i use every other day. This is a hair moisturiser which you put on the ends of your hair when it is dry. The moisturiser its self smells absolutely incredible, it smells of the lush shops itself and although you are only putting it on the ends of your hair you can smell it from a mile off and i get endless compliments about the smell of my hair. This moisturiser works its way into its hair and will dry naturally. You really do not need a lot for it to cover all the ends of your hair which is good as it will last a long time. It brings my hair back to life and recovers the ends like no other product i have used. It doesn't take long for it to do its magic and leave your hair feeling like wonderful. If you were going to buy just one of these products i would go for this because it will really help revive and sort out your hair. Its £11.50 for the 100g pot and it will last you for so so long so it is really worth the spend.

The final result

This is my hair after all these products, as you can see from the first picture there is a massive difference. My hair doesn't look as stiff and it looks as if you can actually move it without breaking it. It feels and looks so much lighter and you can really notice the curly a lot more now. I love this routine and i will carry on with it throughout the summer as my hair does tend to change through the seasons. I really recommend this for ANYONE with curly hair that needs a desperate, quick and easy repair.
I really hope I've helped!

Exploring London

As its the Easter Holidays and i had two weeks off college, my friends and i thought it would be the perfect opportunity to go to London and hit the shops!

We had a wonderful day and spent most of our time down brick lane, in camden and hitting the vintage and thrift shops. I bought some really nice pieces for some amazing prices and got my moneys worth. I haven't had the change to properly rummage around the Vintage shops of London in a long time and i was so so excited to go and see what i could find.

We travelled all around to find the best shops around London and to just have a little nosey as well, we left feeling very tired indeed!

This was my outfit of the day, i wanted something quite sophisticated but casual and comfortable. This wasn't what i was going to wear as i ordered some culottes from Motel Rocks which didn't come in time but this was my back up.
I have recently bought this Adidas Superstars and i am in LOVE with them, i pretty much wear them everyday as they go with so many of my outfits. I was also lucky enough to get myself a pair of the Pharrell super colour range in the lightest yellow shade which are beautiful!!!
I was really comfortable all day and i didn't feel cold at all which was an added bonus. I love this red skirt it flows really nicely and it made me feel so feminine and i just love the large pop of colour it gives.
I added the belt from ASOS which I've had for ages and I'm still in love with it. The bag, the turtleneck and jacket is form Topshop.
This outfit is quite different to what i would usually go for but i really liked it and felt very comfortable and confident all day.

Turtle Neck - Topshop
Leather Jacket - Topshop
Belt - ASOS (one similar)
Skirt - H&M (one similar)
Bag - Topshop (not in stock anymore)
Shoes - Adidas

prom queen for beyond retro

A couple of weeks ago i got asked if i wanted to be in a photo shoot for beyond retro for their prom shoot and of course i said yes.
It was such good fun and i got to work with amazing people just like last time. The prom dresses i got to model in were absolutely gorgeous and i was so excited to be able to wear them (just wish i had a prom to wear them to!!!)

Here are some of the pictures...

The other model here in these pictures is Ellie. She was very lovely and has an amazing blog of her own which is really worth a read. I was able to work again with the other half of the blog duo 'two shoes one pair' Naomi who styled the shoot and she did a really amazing job. The photographer is Camilla Felgate who has such an eye for some lovely photos and has such a talent for capturing just the right moment. The hair and make up artist was able to create this pretty sparkly girly look which i fell in love with! Was a pleasure to work with some wonderful and talented people.

Wishlist

There is always so many gorgeous pieces of clothes out there that i want to buy, and recently i have seen so much and I've had to try reaaaaaaally hard not to buy all of it!

I was so gutted today to go on the H&M website and find almost every Alexander Wang item sold out, I'm sure I'm not the only one who can say that. Sorry for the delay in posting, college has piled a whole ton of work on me and i just haven't found the time to write a blogpost, so unfortunately this will be short and sweet. Im hoping to do a college lookbook for autumn and winter so keep your eyes pealed for that!

1. I love this raincoat from Zara i love the colour, I've never seen a raincoat quite like it. It would be so easy to style because you are able to match it with so many beautiful autumnal colours and its just perfect for this type of weather.

2. Look at this AMAZING jumpsuit from Urban Outfitters, its such a simple design and looks so gorgeous. You are able to accessorise, dress it up/down so much and you can wear it casual or when you're going out. I fell in love with it instantly and i love the back of this the most, its definitely something you want to show off.

3. Topshop have just brought out their party range and i want to buy pretty much all of it, but one of my favourites have to be these shoes, they're so glam and remind me of something from the 1920's. I love the shoes with the fur at the front and i don't really own many heels because i don't find them very comfortable but i think i may just have to get these.
4. Finally, its another Urban Outfitters number (my favourite shop) I'm obsessed with turtlenecks, i think they help to make an outfit look 10 times better. Its quite a simple number but it can easily be accessorised with a statement necklace or a nice coloured coat. It would be a nice dress just to wear on lazy days or when travelling around.
Again sorry its only short, and it looks like i only wear black! haha but i will hopefully have something more exciting soon.

abit'o modelling

So last week, I did my first bit of modelling. I've never done anything like this, and I was really excited to try it out. I modelled for a Vintage brand called 'Beyond Retro' if you have never heard of them they are one of my favourites vintage companies and they sell the most amazing pieces and the prices are sooo good! If you love vintage then do not hesitate to check it out. It was 90's themed and that's my all time favourite era so I was so excited to wear all the cool clothes!

My sister works for Beyond Retro in the head office and she deals with the web design and all things creative. I worked with really lovely people on the shoot, Naomi Rowland who some of you may of heard of because she has her own blog which she shares with her friend and it is amazing! Naomi styled me and I loved everything she put me in, she wasn't afraid to create a crazy combo and everything just worked. She has her own amazing style so make sure you look at her blog.
I also worked with a photographer called Meike, she captured some truly lovely shots and she was so lovely to work with, she has her own website with all her incredible photography, be sure to check that out as well.
The other girl I modelled with was called Rachel, she works for ASOS and she's one of the online stylists, which sounds like the best job in the world!! She has such a lovely sense of style and came in the most amazing blue fur coat, I will leave her Instagram name for you to have a look.

Zara AW14 Collection

As always Zara have brought out an amazing A/W collection, these are just a few of my favourite picks from the collection.

I really like their use of colours and they've made the clothes seem so warm and comfortable which is obviously something you want when its getting cold. They've put a lot of really cool things together that you wouldnt initially think to put together but they work really well. Cant wait to buy a few of these items. I love the white shoes they've used in quite a lot of the looks and the long dark grey coat.
