Wishlist

There is always so many gorgeous pieces of clothes out there that i want to buy, and recently i have seen so much and I've had to try reaaaaaaally hard not to buy all of it!

I was so gutted today to go on the H&M website and find almost every Alexander Wang item sold out, I'm sure I'm not the only one who can say that. Sorry for the delay in posting, college has piled a whole ton of work on me and i just haven't found the time to write a blogpost, so unfortunately this will be short and sweet. Im hoping to do a college lookbook for autumn and winter so keep your eyes pealed for that!

1. I love this raincoat from Zara i love the colour, I've never seen a raincoat quite like it. It would be so easy to style because you are able to match it with so many beautiful autumnal colours and its just perfect for this type of weather.

2. Look at this AMAZING jumpsuit from Urban Outfitters, its such a simple design and looks so gorgeous. You are able to accessorise, dress it up/down so much and you can wear it casual or when you're going out. I fell in love with it instantly and i love the back of this the most, its definitely something you want to show off.

3. Topshop have just brought out their party range and i want to buy pretty much all of it, but one of my favourites have to be these shoes, they're so glam and remind me of something from the 1920's. I love the shoes with the fur at the front and i don't really own many heels because i don't find them very comfortable but i think i may just have to get these.
4. Finally, its another Urban Outfitters number (my favourite shop) I'm obsessed with turtlenecks, i think they help to make an outfit look 10 times better. Its quite a simple number but it can easily be accessorised with a statement necklace or a nice coloured coat. It would be a nice dress just to wear on lazy days or when travelling around.
Again sorry its only short, and it looks like i only wear black! haha but i will hopefully have something more exciting soon.

abit'o modelling

So last week, I did my first bit of modelling. I've never done anything like this, and I was really excited to try it out. I modelled for a Vintage brand called 'Beyond Retro' if you have never heard of them they are one of my favourites vintage companies and they sell the most amazing pieces and the prices are sooo good! If you love vintage then do not hesitate to check it out. It was 90's themed and that's my all time favourite era so I was so excited to wear all the cool clothes!

My sister works for Beyond Retro in the head office and she deals with the web design and all things creative. I worked with really lovely people on the shoot, Naomi Rowland who some of you may of heard of because she has her own blog which she shares with her friend and it is amazing! Naomi styled me and I loved everything she put me in, she wasn't afraid to create a crazy combo and everything just worked. She has her own amazing style so make sure you look at her blog.
I also worked with a photographer called Meike, she captured some truly lovely shots and she was so lovely to work with, she has her own website with all her incredible photography, be sure to check that out as well.
The other girl I modelled with was called Rachel, she works for ASOS and she's one of the online stylists, which sounds like the best job in the world!! She has such a lovely sense of style and came in the most amazing blue fur coat, I will leave her Instagram name for you to have a look.

Zara AW14 Collection

As always Zara have brought out an amazing A/W collection, these are just a few of my favourite picks from the collection.

I really like their use of colours and they've made the clothes seem so warm and comfortable which is obviously something you want when its getting cold. They've put a lot of really cool things together that you wouldnt initially think to put together but they work really well. Cant wait to buy a few of these items. I love the white shoes they've used in quite a lot of the looks and the long dark grey coat.

Current Foundation Routine

Its been a long time since ive had a Foundation routine that I've stuck to and love for a long time and recently I have definitely found myself a new routine to stick to for the cold autumn/winter season. I think its really important if you wear foundation everyday to have a certain routine that you can just go to for everyday use because I find it makes it a lot less time consuming and really helpful to stick to something you know suits you.

So these are the products ive been using at the moment.
Base -  Simple Moisturiser £6.99
Foundation - Estee Lauder Double Wear £29.50 Shade Ivory Nude
Concealer - Bourjois Healthy Mix £7.99 Shade Éclat Medium
Pressed Powder - Bobbi Brown £26 Shade Soft Sand
Bronzer - Hoola Benefit £23.50
Setting Spray - MAC fix+ £23
I've put these two together because you can you use the fix+ spray before or after you apply your makeup and I like to use it after because I think it brings out the colour of your makeup a bit more and to me it feels like its done something to my makeup. So i start off with my moisturiser, I sometimes use a primer but most moisturisers have primers in them and as the cold air and wind makes my skin dry I think its better that I use one. I love this moisturiser I've always used it and will carry on using it.

Next I apply my foundation with either Real Techniques stippling or buffing brush. These are my favourite foundation brushes because I think they are both really good at getting into the  skin and they are both able to reach places that are harder to get to because of the bristles. I recently got this foundation, I've been wanting to buy it for ages because I'd heard such good things about it. I have it in quite a light colour because I'm fair skinned and I wont be getting a tan in the British cold weather! You can tell by the name that its good coverage and that's what I like because I have quite a bit of redness in my skin and I prefer it not to be seen. Its not too dewy or matte which is just perfect for me and so easy to apply.

Even though the foundation is really good coverage, I'm still quite insecure about the bags under my eyes and redness around my nose so I just like to apply a bit to those certain areas and if I get a break out I apply a bit to my spots as well. This was a really quick buy, I ran out of concealer and I wanted to try something new so i picked this up along with the healthy mix foundation and I'm really glad I did because it is really good and stays on really well. Smells incredible as well.

This is another new purchase and its Bobbi Browns pressed powder, I prefer to use pressed powders than actually foundation based powders because I feel like I'm layering too much on when I use them. This one I find is really light and you really don't need a lot either, I use such a big brush because you only need to put it in the powder once or twice and it will go around your whole face which is good. It did come with a small powder puff but I prefer to use my bigger brush.

I'm not sure how many people would class this as part of their foundation routine but to me it all goes together and properly finishes the look. As you can see this bronzer is very well loved, I've had it for quite a while and was one of my first bronzers. I prefer to use it in colder months because its matte and I like that look around autumn/winter. I use the brush it comes with because I like quite a strong contour, I do have the real techniques contour brush but I love the way the benefit brush applies to my skin.  If anyone is debating whether to buy it I definitely think you should try it, benefit do offer samples at some stores and they do last quite a while.
I would then apply my fix+ spray but I spoke more about that at the beginning.

I think I'm going to stick to this routine for most of autumn/winter just because it works so well for me. Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoyed reading this!

Summer Set

I'm back! Sorry its been so long since I last posted I'm not sure what happened really! Though I'm planning something exciting for my blog just before I go to reading festival which I'm super excited for!!

I haven't been on Polyvore in a long time and I forgot how much fun it was to just put outfits together. It really helps with planning outfits and starting a wish list. Its sometimes good to put something in there you have already so that you can plan outfits with the specific piece of clothing. In this set I have the trousers or luxe joggers as Topshop call them. I love these they're so comfy and you're able to wear them casually or out which I have done!

I was really happy with the set I created, I love every part of it and I adore the yellow Chanel bag. Yellow being my favourite colour and I think it really compliments the blue. I love it when I see someone adding a bright colour to something you might not think would necessarily go. I decided that the baggy black Tee would go nicely tucked in or just left to hang whatever suits someone best. I've seen these plimsolls ive seen so many people wearing them and I haven't yet got my hand on a pair! I love the fur that's on the shoe I think it adds a unique touch to the shoe and these shoes are so in at the moment I see them everywhere! The accessories I've chosen are quite simple just because of the design of the joggers. Any big black/grey hat would go well with this you can mix and match with that and with the sunglasses as well. The joggers are really light and comfortable but they are not see-through I was a bit scared of that when I bought them just because they are quite thin but like I said they are incredibly comfy and the design on them are gorgeous. I added the bracelet just because I really liked it and I think gold jewellery would be just right. The perfume is lovely as well and I nice summery scent so I thought it would just go with the summer theme.

I think this outfit is perfect for when its just warm out and still when its scorching. The clothes I've picked are light and don't cling to the skin so its good when you want to wear something where you just need the breeze to cool you down and you aren't sweating because the clothes are too thick and tight. I think I'm going to get a outfit relatively close to this and I want to know if you think you'd wear this to! Let me know in the comments.

Thank you for reading, sorry for it being such a while since I posted but I'm going to keep at it!

A day in London and How's Harry

Sorry in the delay of posting, I've been a little busy over these couple of weeks but I've found some time to write this post.
I've had a week off college because of the half term and I had planned to go see my friends band How's Harry perform in London with my friend Scarlett and we decided to make a day of being in London. I live quite close to London but I don't go as often as I could so I made sure I went up in the half term. Instead of going to Oxford ST we thought we'd go to white chapel and Brick Lane which hold some of the best thrift and vintage/retro stores. We went to the East End thrift store which is amazing and full of some lovely pieces of clothing, I bought the nicest daisy chain denim dress which is going to be so cute for the summer and was only £15. What's so special about the thrift store is that they supply you with £10 and £20 bags which you can fill up as much as you can and you get whatever's you manage to fill in the bag for the price of the bag, which is insane and really really worth it and a bargain. It can be a bit hit and miss I find, but there is a section with one off pieces which you pay for separately and is easier to find really beautiful clothes, which is where I found the dress. We then travelled to brick lane and went in the big vintage warehouse, Rokit, Blitz, Beyond Retro, and the other I unfortunately cant remember the name of. If you've never been and you're going to London I totally recommend you go there because you will be really surprised with the amazing items of clothing you can find even if vintage or second hand clothing isn't really your thing. Its great to find one off pieces that you can style and make your own.  We went to five guys for dinner which is incredible and has just come down from New York. I first tried it in New York which is where I fell in love and I'm so happy there's one in Covent Garden and other places spotted around the UK.
This is the dress I got from the thrift shop, I just wore it with a black long sleeve top underneath as it wasn't that warm and my black converse. Its such a beautiful dress and was almost caught fighting over it with another customer!!

We then met up with my friend Ike who is apart of How's Harry and if you haven't listened to them and you like, Bombay Bicycle club, Two door cinema club, Arctic monkeys then I think you would really enjoy their music. It was a really important night for them and they are a really talented group of boys and their only 17/18 years of age. Here's their Soundcloud, and if you do like them you can buy their EP's on iTunes.
Now here's some pictures of what I wore and just a few of the day...

I wore a grey midi dress from Topshop with a jersey neckline and around the sleeves. I love this dress I think its so simple and the jersey adds something extra to it. It was quite a cold day so I thought I'd add an oversized denim jacket which is from a vintage shop and a tartan scarf which is actually my Dad's from when he was younger which I adopted haha! I added my black converse which thought it went with the whole look and gave the it over all quite a soft grunge feel and I really liked it, I thought it was all quite simple but affective. The small bag is also from Topshop, it went with the black and white of my converse and just added a bit of pattern because the dress is plain. I wanted to be comfortable all day as we were travelling around a lot and I didn't want my outfit to be
too heavy and weigh me down.

Dress: Topshop - £26
Shoes: Office - £47.99
Bag : Topshop - £18
Not sure on the prices of the jacket or scarf sorry!
Thankyou for reading, feedback would be much appreciated!

Miley Cyrus BANGERZ tour

So yesterday I went to see Miley Cyrus at concert at the O2 Arena in London and it was absolutely insane and she was incredibly as always. I am a massive Miley Cyrus fan anyone that knows me knows that about me, although we didn't have the best seats because tickets went sooo fast I still had an amazing time and I could see everything that was going on. Of course she had her small dance partners, teddy bears, crazy outfits and her amazing music. She is so talented and doesn't get enough credit for her voice and her music writing skills. I've never been to a concert where something was happening at all times, it was amazing from start to finish, she made a fantastic entrance sliding down her tongue, she was flying on a giant hotdog and finished off with everyone's favourite Party in the USA. I wont say too much just in case someone reading this is going to see her soon I don't want to ruin it too much!!

This isn't my photo, but its a such a good photo its too good not to share:

Okay so now im going to talk about what I wore to the concert, here are a few pictures... unfortunately i didn't have that much time to get ready to I had to take the pictures today which also means I have no pictures of my makeup so I cant explain fully what I did there what I did there.

   Dress: Motel Rocks
Boots: Toshop
Necklaces: Topshop
Rings: Topshop
Ok so I didn't want to wear anything that required layers, I just wanted something to put on which was light and wasn't hot. If you have never been to a gig before you get incredibly hot seated or standing so I thought wearing a mid length flow dress would be perfect and as its a simple dress is easy to accessorise with anything really. I wanted to go quite chunky and I wanted to wear a lot of jewellery around my neck rather than bracelet. Excuse the chipped nail polish, but I added a few midi rings and thin rings just to add to the jewellery theme and I thought it would be nice to wear gold and silver jewellery as well. I wore my chunky black boots to go with the dress and the chunky necklaces I think if we were standing I would of chosen to wear a different pair of shoes but as we were seated and could stand up when we liked I thought the boots would be a nice touch to the outfit and went nicely. As you can see I enjoy to shop in Topshop so you will probably see a lot of that when you read my blog, but hey who doesn't love Topshop?! Overall I was really happy with what I wore and I think ti was a good decision for the concert as I just took a black jacket with me and I was fine mostly because of the material and the flow of the dress. Thought I'd post a little selfie from the night so you had a little idea of how I looked on the night.
For makeup:
Fondation: L'Oreal True Match
Concealer: Rimmel Wake me up
Powder: MAC skin finish
Bronzer: Benefit Hula
Blush: Benefit Coralista
Eyeshadow: MAC folie
Urban decay Naked Palette 1 Sin
Eyeliner: MAC Superslick liquid eyeliner (AMAZING)
Mascara: Maybelline BIG EYES
Eyebrows: Anstasia brow wiz ( also AMAZING)

I hope you enjoyed this little blog post and I will be writing soon I'm sure, enjoy the rest of your day and thank you for taking an interest in reading this.
