Current Foundation Routine

Its been a long time since ive had a Foundation routine that I've stuck to and love for a long time and recently I have definitely found myself a new routine to stick to for the cold autumn/winter season. I think its really important if you wear foundation everyday to have a certain routine that you can just go to for everyday use because I find it makes it a lot less time consuming and really helpful to stick to something you know suits you.

So these are the products ive been using at the moment.
Base -  Simple Moisturiser £6.99
Foundation - Estee Lauder Double Wear £29.50 Shade Ivory Nude
Concealer - Bourjois Healthy Mix £7.99 Shade Éclat Medium
Pressed Powder - Bobbi Brown £26 Shade Soft Sand
Bronzer - Hoola Benefit £23.50
Setting Spray - MAC fix+ £23
I've put these two together because you can you use the fix+ spray before or after you apply your makeup and I like to use it after because I think it brings out the colour of your makeup a bit more and to me it feels like its done something to my makeup. So i start off with my moisturiser, I sometimes use a primer but most moisturisers have primers in them and as the cold air and wind makes my skin dry I think its better that I use one. I love this moisturiser I've always used it and will carry on using it.

Next I apply my foundation with either Real Techniques stippling or buffing brush. These are my favourite foundation brushes because I think they are both really good at getting into the  skin and they are both able to reach places that are harder to get to because of the bristles. I recently got this foundation, I've been wanting to buy it for ages because I'd heard such good things about it. I have it in quite a light colour because I'm fair skinned and I wont be getting a tan in the British cold weather! You can tell by the name that its good coverage and that's what I like because I have quite a bit of redness in my skin and I prefer it not to be seen. Its not too dewy or matte which is just perfect for me and so easy to apply.

Even though the foundation is really good coverage, I'm still quite insecure about the bags under my eyes and redness around my nose so I just like to apply a bit to those certain areas and if I get a break out I apply a bit to my spots as well. This was a really quick buy, I ran out of concealer and I wanted to try something new so i picked this up along with the healthy mix foundation and I'm really glad I did because it is really good and stays on really well. Smells incredible as well.

This is another new purchase and its Bobbi Browns pressed powder, I prefer to use pressed powders than actually foundation based powders because I feel like I'm layering too much on when I use them. This one I find is really light and you really don't need a lot either, I use such a big brush because you only need to put it in the powder once or twice and it will go around your whole face which is good. It did come with a small powder puff but I prefer to use my bigger brush.

I'm not sure how many people would class this as part of their foundation routine but to me it all goes together and properly finishes the look. As you can see this bronzer is very well loved, I've had it for quite a while and was one of my first bronzers. I prefer to use it in colder months because its matte and I like that look around autumn/winter. I use the brush it comes with because I like quite a strong contour, I do have the real techniques contour brush but I love the way the benefit brush applies to my skin.  If anyone is debating whether to buy it I definitely think you should try it, benefit do offer samples at some stores and they do last quite a while.
I would then apply my fix+ spray but I spoke more about that at the beginning.

I think I'm going to stick to this routine for most of autumn/winter just because it works so well for me. Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoyed reading this!
